Handmade exclusive calligraphy by Hokama Tetsuhiro Sensei.

One of the most worldwide famous karate phrases:

Karate begins and ends with respect.

"Karate ha rei ni hajimari, rei ni owaru koto" is the short version of the first Gichin Funakoshi´s Niju kun, the "The Twenty Guiding Principles of Karate", originally published in 1938.

The original version is:

" First, don't forget, Karate begins and ends with respect."
